![]() ![]() With some creative wiring, it's possible to buy extenders, splitters, daisy-chain cables and/or RGB/ARGB controller boxes that can let you use more devices and still connect them to one MoBo Header. There are things that can help you to use more devices than you have MotherBoard Headers for or help a device's plug into an out of reach Header. Just make sure you ONLY use the same type of RGB/ARGB devices for the right type of plug. Not sure what all you're trying to connect. but ARGB has more options and color blending. ![]() One might think that with individual pins for Red Green & Blue, plus 7 more Volts, RGB would be superior. I don't know of any RGBARGB 'converters', but it's not worth the risk of damaging your (now sometimes hard to replace) PC Components! From what I understand they're completely different standards (not interchangeable like PCIE Gen3->Gen4). The 4-pin (RGB) Header uses 12V, and the 3-pin (ARGB) Header uses 5V. No, don't, because they use different voltages. Do it at least for the motherboard, it helps a lot. All motherboards have a picture& legend for all existing ports, guides how to update bios etc. No offense, but when i comes to motherboards (and pc parts) you SHOULD consult the manual. Also, 3 pin/ARGB uses a different voltage. Using an adapter will greatly limit what you can do with the a strip/ fan rgb. On some boards, even if you have multiple 4 pin connectors, they ALL act the same. You can have one color at a time, all leds. 4 pin - rgb - a basic rgb connector, all leds controlled at once. each motherboard connector is controlled separately of each other For example: your strip (i have the same model) can do color waves. 3 pin header (ARGB, or A-RGB, or AURA Addressable RGB Gen 2, etc ) - addressable rgb, as in, you can have multiple colors at the same time and apply complex effect. Check page 11, on the motherboard legend, look at header number 10 (green)
